Helena Lacy
Overview
Helena Lacy is a London-based ceramic artist whose practice explores material transformation, memory, home, and storytelling. Patterns play a central role in her work, inspired both by those formed through natural movement and those embedded in print. Working across sculpture and functional furniture, she balances structure with unpredictability through experimental glazing and printing techniques. Her work reflects a wider interest in hidden narratives and the subtle traces objects carry.
Lacy holds an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art (2024) and a BA (Hons) in Technical Arts and Special Effects from Wimbledon College of Art (2014). Her work has been exhibited at venues and events including New Designers Selects, Selfridges, Liberty, London Craft Week, London Design Festival, and Paris Design Week. Lacy has completed residencies in Japan, Germany, Finland, and the Sarabande Foundation, London (2024–2025). Her work has been featured internationally in publications including Elle Decoration, Apollo, Architectural Digest, and ShowStudio.
