Inspired by a distressed brocade of Japanese origin this textile is a contemporary tapestry wall hanging. The velvet base is embellished with metallic yarn satin stitch and multi colored pastel silk band lured thread fringes. The border is a patchwork of velvets hand quilted with a floral design or embroidered with bullion and cross stitch
