Return Policy
Studio Tashtego will accept returns for store credit within 7 days of receipt of your order. Store credit must be utilized within 6 months. All bespoke and made-to-order pieces or pieces returned without original packaging or with damage or defects are non-returnable.
Returned items must be in original and unused condition with original packaging. Please make sure that items are well packed and insured for the full amount. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and all costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. Exchanges will incur additional shipping charges.
Please contact us at studio@studiotashtego.com if you would like to initiate a return for store credit. After receipt of your returned order, we will send you an email confirming your store credit.
Shipping
As a service to our customers, Studio Tashtego will arrange the shipping of orders via one of our preferred carriers. All charges for shipping will be sent separately as part of your final balance due invoice. If you purchase a piece through the website, Studio Tashtego will contact you to arrange shipping separately.
If the customer chooses to manage their own freight and delivery, Studio Tashtego must be notified of the specific details of the movement. In this case, ownership of the product transfers to the customer upon the freight carrier taking possession of the order for transport. Therefore, responsibility for damage occurring in-transit and filing insurance claims is the customer’s. Studio Tashtego is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.
Studio Tashtego is able to store your order free of charge for no greater than 30 days. After 30 days, your order is subject to a $25 per day charge for extended storage. This must be paid prior to delivery.
Damage Inspection
Pieces are inspected by the makers prior to release to ensure that the order is in good condition, complete, and ready for shipment.
The receiver is responsible for a complete inspection of the pieces at the point of origin. Any damage must be noted immediately on the Bill of Lading. Upon receipt of the item, please thoroughly inspect the package and its contents. If damage has occurred to the item, please send detailed images and description to studio@studiotashtego.com within 72 hours of receipt. Studio Tashtego will arrange for the pick up of the item and the refund or exchange (at the customer's discretion).
Loan Policy
A 50% deposit (calculated on the retail price) + 10% restocking fee is required for all loans to be sent out on approval. Return of loaned items will only be accepted if the pieces are in impeccable condition and in their original packaging. If Studio Tashtego, upon inspection of the returned items, notices any damage or defect to the pieces the 50% deposit + 10% restocking fee will not be refunded.
Client is responsible for arranging for the transportation and insurance of the loaned items. If you would like for Studio Tashtego to provide this service, the costs will be added to your deposit invoice.
Please take all necessary precautions to care for the loaned items by carefully unwrapping and packaging and using clean gloves when handling.
When the loan has been approved for purchase, a final balance due invoice will be sent to be paid within 7 days of receipt.
